“This was a beauuutiful property! Very large and spacious for outdoor activities.The inside was all very spacious for all 10 of us! There were lots of board games available to play, and the cabin itself was so comfortable it almost felt like home. There’s also a convenience store that’s only about a 10-15min drive away which was very well stocked and pretty cute :) over all our stay was great and would definitely stay again”

“The Sawyer farmhouse is located in a beautiful and quiet countryside location, yet it is close to the beach, wineries, restaurants and shopping. The beds and furniture are comfortable, and there is lots of space for a larger group. This was our second stay at the farmhouse and it was a delight from check-in to check- out. Sage is a very responsive host! Highly recommend!”

“The Sawyer House was the perfect home base for my daughter's wedding on Lake Michigan! I really liked how the basement, with its 2 bedrooms and additional living area, felt like its own space for the teenagers to hang out while others got ready for the wedding. The house was neat and spacious with many amenities while the yard and porch were quiet and peaceful. We didn't prefer the taste of the water, and so we made a quick trip down the road and bought bottled water. Previous reviews mentioned that there were ants/ bugs in the house, but it looks like the owner took care of that problem, as I didn't see any the entire stay. I would definitely stay here again!”

“Great stay at the Sawyer Farmhouse! It's about 5 minutes from downtown Sawyer, with some fun breweries and restaurants, 10 minutes from Warren Dunes and about 20 minutes from downtown St. Joe. But it's still out in the county and surrounded by farmland, which made it feel extra relaxing for city dwellers like us. The space was perfect for two families with young kids and our the kiddos had fun running in the yard and playing in the big, open first floor. The house was clean when we arrived and communication from the hosts was great. As some other reviews have pointed out, the internet is not great. For whatever reason it seemed to work ok in the morning, but as the day went on the bandwidth seemed to decrease. So might be something to keep in mind if you were considering working remotely while staying here (though there's a great coffeeshop in Sawyer in a pinch). But for us, this wasn't too big of a deal.”

“The house was exactly what we were needing for our 3-day getaway. There were 6 of us and we all had our own rooms. The house was the perfect size, was clean and comfortable. The peaceful country setting was just what we were looking for. Sage was great to work with and was very responsive with any question I had. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to this area! Thank you for everything!”

“The location is quiet, spacious and beautiful, as is the front porch. The layout of the home is great. The dining area easily accommodated our 10 adults. We had one issue with the grill, and it was handled first thing the next morning.”

“Easy to find and spacious place for our group! The location is about 2 miles from some restaurants and a coffee shop in Sawyer. Kitchen was stocked and we enjoyed the games kept at the house. I would recommend bringing your own water as the water had a bit of a smell to it (there was a filtering system in the pantry but the bottle was empty).”

“almost everything about the house wss great. it was private, spacious, clean, and had a stocked kitchen for cups and pans and such to use. only things that were a little iffy was the water pressure (we made do) and the outdoor grill wasnt really usable (we had to buy one to use).”

“This was a lovely home with a nice layout. We had quite a large group & it housed everyone well. We had some issues with the AC unit not working which was unfortunate and it was a bit hot but we understand those things happen from time to time and can't always be helped. The host was very responsive about the issue and gave us a partial refund to compensate for it. Overall we were very satisfied with the stay!”

“My friends and I adored this place. It has a really cute dining area, living room, and finished basement! We absolutely fell in love with the backyard. It has a really cool barn stable that seems to not have been used for years, but can feel the history standing next to it. One of our favorite memories that we will cherish is the kitty that ended up hanging out with us our final two days (named him Kit). We initially found him laying in a garden box. He was extremely friendly from the get go. He even stayed around for our campfire. We struggled with service the most. The wifi is public and many times we had a little better service using our phone data. There is wifi listed on the reservation page, but we did not see it to connect. There are pots and pans, but there is no toaster. Aside from the service and toaster, everything else was great. Sage is really nice and very responsive! Would definitely love to visit again. Especially to see Kit!”

“Some good and some not good things. It was comfortable for 8 guests, had everything we needed, cozy, a good place to come back to. Previous guests complained about ants, which has not been resolved; there are giant black ants everywhere. Previous guests have complained about the wifi being poor, and it was poor. As these issues had already been reported in the past we had hoped they would have been resolved. The water had a metallic smell and taste. A friend took a bath and said it had an odd color.”

“This is a super comfortable, spacious house. Overall, everything was great, and the house was clean. They did have some ants in the kitchen, and the firepit is completely filled with ash from old fires. The wifi is not great, but we didn’t use it too much. The area is beautiful, lots to do and see!”
