Only 3 blocks walk into the small downtown. Ate at AJ’s in town. The food was good. Negative: The house needs a house number. Just to be sure you’re at the right place.”

“The name says it all… Comfy and homey! Although we had a brief stay, It was set up nicely with everything you would need. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the whole property. Would definitely stay again. Everything was a 5 star to me except that I have a 4 star for the check in process. It was only because they asked for information we had never needed to give out in other rentals we visited. Sage was attentive and informative which helped put my mind at ease regarding the need for my picture and drivers license info. I heard back from any questions I had very quickly and throughly. We were close to many things we liked to do and easy access to main roads. The bed was comfortable. Quick communication with owner/managers..The kept the sidewalk cleared of snow.”

“Had a nice weekend with our two kids. Needed a spot close by to South Bend and this location was perfect for that. Beautiful surroundings too! The park right across the street was cute and had a nice view of the lake. The house itself was super clean and we loved the selection of DVDs and my daughter enjoying playing the Piano! The surrounding town surprisingly didn't have much open on a Saturday so I was glad we ordered food on Friday night and had leftovers for the next day. Above all, would stay again!”

The hosts were wonderful, responded quickly and were willing to allow a friend to stay with us when she had no place for the night. As an added bonus, there is a park conveniently located across the street with a large pavilion, beautifully manicured green spaces and swings that face the lake. “We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house!! It was a great location and so peaceful! We only wish the front door window had a curtain or fogged window because it was uncomfortable knowing it was easy to look inside. We were also jet lagged and sleeping in when the owners came and knocked on the door to get their truck from the driveway, so in the future, it would be great if they didn’t leave a vehicle. Overall, though, the house was fantastic!! We felt right at home and comfortable in our stay! Coincidentally, it was also located in front of the park where my wife and I got engaged, so it was special for us! We hope to book here again!”

“We had a nice stay with a beautiful park across the street. The house was very clean and comfortable beds. The middle bedroom needs a dresser or chest of drawers as there was nowhere to put clothes. There is a closet but many things don’t hang and nowhere to keep an open suitcase. We had an unexpected man arrive to blow leaves or something. We were at the park and saw him walk around to the back of the house, so that was a concern. He was very nice and explained that he did maintenance outside for a few homes there, but a heads up on his arrival would have made us more comfortable. The front door really needs a blind or curtain. We felt anyone outside could look in especially at night with the lights on. Other than that we had a nice and comfortable stay. ”

I had searched on Expedia originally for two people, but they needed the exact number of persons to charge accordingly, instead of one charge for the house. ”
