“This was a wonderful tiny home that fit our family of six! Turning the couch into a bed for our youngest child, everyone had their own place to sleep! So much nicer than getting a couple of hotel rooms! One thing I would mention for future guest is to bring a small fan to plug-in. Our boys complained that the bunkbed area was pretty warm at night. Other than that, everything was marvelous!”

“Positive: The place was very clean. Had a nice fire pit and grill available. Comfortable bed. Coffee available for morning with cream and sugar available too. Just overall a great experience. I also really liked that we were able to book it the same day that we arrived. It was a last minute trip and needed a place to stay. Also liked that there was no minimum length required because we only needed it for a single night. That was very nice. Negative: Can't think of anything that we didn't like.”

“The Black Diamond in Mentone was the perfect spot for our family of 3 to stay. The tiny house had everything we needed for overnight stay and the fire ring was the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring the area. The only issue we had was the lack of cell service made it hard to look up the access code once we arrived, so be sure to look at your code before arriving. Once we got inside and logged onto WiFi, we had great signal strength inside and around the fire ring. The location is within a tiny home community, so there were neighbors visible next door and across the street. When sitting at the fire ring, we could hear music from another tiny house but thankfully we share the same taste in music so it wasn’t a problem. We will definitely stay again if we come back to the area.”

“My daughter and I enjoyed our 3 night stay immensely! We have already decided to make it a yearly tradition and will definitely strive to stay in the same community of cozy cabins. Our host was incredibly helpful and responsive from the moment of booking up until the moment of writing this review. I truly cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our vacation! Mentone is a beautiful location and the Black Diamond cabin was certainly icing in the cake!”

“I had a wonderful stay here. The house was clean and tidy, it was private and quiet, and the host was super friendly and considerate! If I’m back in the area, I’ll easily and happily stay again!”

“It was a lovely stay. The tiny home cabin was quite roomy actually. It was private enough to feel like you were “out there” alone yet safe because there were other cabins unseen near by. The communication was so good and their response was almost immediate no matter how trivial my “needs” may have been. I would definitely stay here again. To no fault of the cabin owner or air b&b.. I will include a little advisement to check mentone area for things to do.. because there is not much there. It was perfect for me as I wanted to stay secluded but my trip to Walmart one way was 30 minutes.. so grab all you need before hunkering down for the stay.”

“This tiny house was perfect for my wife, our 3 kids (20,17,11) our 1 year old grandson and myself. It was a few miles down from every thing in Mentone and the property is nice and quiet. The bathroom was nice and spacious for a tiny house and offers a great size tub for bath time! Sage has been absolutely fantastic this entire trip with all the information she has provided us and responded so fast for each question I had! I highly recommend this tiny house for your stay! We can’t wait to stay in another one hopefully in the near future!”

“This was the perfect little getaway. It is close enough to everything we were looking for but far enough away to feel peaceful and relaxing. A comfy bed, 2 heat pumps that kept us nice and warm when it got down to 26, a well stocked kitchen, and the gas grill made this stay pretty close to perfect. We would definitely stay again!”

“My wife and I were looking for a two night stay as we headed home from a retreat in Gatlinburg. I searched for Airbnbs in the Fort Payne area and came across the Black Diamond in Mentone, AL. The accommodations were just as described. The tiny house neighborhood was so peaceful. I can’t say enough about our host, Sage, and how responsive and helpful she was with any questions we had. If we ever find ourselves in the Mentone, AL area again, we will definitely be staying at Black Diamond. It was so cozy and welcoming.”
