“The home is more beautiful than the pictures. We enjoyed watching the deer in the backyard. It’s a nice spacious home and each of us were able to have our own bedroom! We really enjoyed it. It would be a great spot to have a large group stay together. The walkout basement is like its own apartment.”

“I would say this was a great overall experience. I would definitely come back again next year if they happen to be free. The amenities and house were great. They communicate clearly and it was easy to check in and check out. Unfortunately, the gaming space wasn’t fully open, but they communicated with us ahead of time. Would love to be back when everything’s finished.”

“Had a couple minor issues and upon calling, they were fixed the next day. Wonderfully large great room. With 10 adults and 10 grandchildren, we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our time there. The kitchen and laundry (3 sets of washers/dryers) were wonderfully large for handling many people.”

“Compass Retreat was the perfect location for our family weekend! We took our adult children and grandchildren for the weekend and this home had plenty of room for 10 adults and 8 children. The kitchen is a dream space for preparing meals for a crowd! The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with some having bathrooms attached. The children's bunkrooms were a hit for the kids too. The movie screen in the Livingroom made watching vegietales or movies fun for everyone! There was supposed to be a highchair at the home but we could not find one, one quick text and the host ordered one and it arrived within an hour! There are tons of light switches around the main floor, none are labeled, so we could not control ceiling fans and the speakers in the ceiling and some lights...labeling needs to be done. The fireplace in the Livingroom is fantastic! Just be sure there is enough wood available or take your own. We had to search the property, walking through deep snow to find piles of wood, most of which was wet. But for the entire family this was voted on as one we could come back to as a great place to relax and reconnect.”

“8 couples stayed for the week, with lots of space to stretch out. The Front porch and screened back porch were perfect for morning gatherings. Fire pit was very nice - but mosquitoes ate us alive - take bug spray! Everyone commented their rooms and beds were comfortable. Kitchen and the island were perfect for our huge family meals, kitchen well stocked. 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers (only one worked but that was fine) 3 sets of washers and dryers! We were 20 minutes to Warren Dunes Start Park - where we spend a couple of afternoons and evenings. Great trip, very comfortable stay.”

“The house was very beautiful but needs just a few updates. However, we loved the huge kitchen island for family breakfasts/dinners and frequented the big screened porch area nightly. We had a few maintenance issues that were handled promptly. Our family loved the hot tub and fire pit area and watching Cardinal baseball on the projection TV. Overall, the property was a very good fit for our family!”

“The house was beautiful and spacious and very clean. The location was nice and quiet. One of the bedrooms is listed as having 4 twins beds, but this is not really a bedroom, but a section of a living space that is open to a living room and kitchen. This made our sleeping arrangements a little different than expected. There was a construction crew at the house the entire week of our stay, updating the garage and digging a trench for electrical in the yard. This was not communicated to us at all and was frustrating as we had kids playing outside. There were several issues with electrical, missing smoke detectors, and smoke detectors that went off at odd times. Using the double oven flipped the breaker every time, and we did not get support from the host to fix. We ended up finding the lead on the construction project that came to fix these issues. He was very helpful and quick to take care of it. I would hope these wouldn't be concerns going forward, but are examples of how the host was not very communicative.Aside from the communication around the construction and electrical issues, this was a great place for a large group.”

“My family and friends were celebrating my 50th birthday and it was amazing. The space was perfect for us. The house seemed like it had been sitting for a while because of the dust and issues with plumbing. But. Management came right away and handled the issue at hand. I was very please with the their prompt response. And they made sure we were all good before they left. We had a wonderful stay and would come back again. For sure. Thank you.”
