“Overall we had a grate stay! Very peaceful, relaxing. The hot tub was nice little strong on chlorine but once it heated up grate, so when you get there turn on the hot tub!”

“We loved being secluded in nature at this cabin. It was the perfect size for a couple or small family. The ladder to get through the loft is pretty steep so those with small children need to be really cautious. Luckily, the two beds in the downstairs main bedroom worked out great for us. Location was perfect for when we ventured out (15 min to Hendersonville). The steep gravel driveway was a little tough to get up with our FWD SUV. 4WD would have no issue. Very relaxing cabin in the woods.”

“The Cabin was absolutely amazing! Private and had absolutely everything you could ask for. There were a few other cabins , but you still had plenty of privacy and the area was full of things to do without ever leaving if you wanted to just relax. Campfire , grilling , peace and a beautiful area. Sage was extremely helpful- hands down the best. I highly recommend this stay.”

“We have stayed in Hightop Cabin for a few years now. It had always exceeded our expectations! Love the remote feeling, the mountain stream, the fire ring and charcoal grill outside. My wife loved the sauna!!! Wow! Very close to the town of Saluda and the city of Hendersonville. Groceries in Hendersonville. The cabin has had some positive upgrades. Large screen tv’s in both the living room and area and the bedroom. Both Al o have electric fireplaces that are also heaters! Really nice! The small kitchen has everything you need. The remote feeling is just great to tuck in and relax!”

“First the important stuff - this Airbnb is fully equipped with all the kitchen stuff you’ll need. Other than a dish sponge but we got a scrub daddy and left it there haha. Coffee maker, toaster, microwave, oven, pots, pans, all types of plates bowls etc. There is firewood when you first drive onto the property! This was such a magical place. It was so secluded despite being in a sort of neighborhood of cabins. Which honestly made it feel even cozier because it felt like we were a part of a little community despite not running into any other humans the entire time we were there haha. The hot tub and sauna were incredible. Make sure you keep the cover on the tub whenever you aren’t in it to insure it’s as hot as possible for you next time you use it! The whole cabin was great, the wayfair Airbnb art was funny but did it didn’t bother us. Sleeps like 8 people despite its size. Having both a screen porch and an open porch was awesome. We will absolutely be back soon!”

It was just my wife and our two daughters, and we're glad we got the High Top cabin because it was up higher on the hill (the last cabin) and a little more private than the others seemed. Having both a hot tub AND sauna was fantastic!!! We had a problem getting connected to their wifi which didn't get resolved until the last night however Sage the guest service's person was so responsive and helpful with our troubleshooting efforts that it didn't bother us much. (unplug it and plug it back in ended up being the magic solution, if you stay here and have the same problem!). It's in good close proximity to Ashville (about 30 minutes) but honestly all the smaller towns near by were much more fun and interesting to explore!”

“We had an absolutely spectacular time here. The cabin feels very private but the cabin community added a level of safety. This is a true cabin in the woods with all the amenities and outdoor space you can ask for. Incredibly clean and cozy. We were provided with everything we could need and everything was stocked full. The host was very responsive and eager to help. Very close to great hiking trails, Sky Top orchard, and plenty of other mountain attractions. Absolutely beautiful, clean, and wonderful!”

“The High Top cabin at Cabin Fever was a great place to relax and rejuvenate! It feels remote, but us only a few minutes drive to the charming town of Saluda. There is a small stream that you can hear from the s screened porches at night. The sauna and hot tub worked and were clean. Firewood is provided so we had fire in the fire ring outside. The buck stove inside worked well to provide heat, as well as the heat/ac units. The cabin has rustic charm and has good craftsmanship. There are “fairy” lights that line the apex of the inside roof add a magical charm to the place. We really enjoy staying at High Top and will be back!”

“High Top cabin at Cabin Fever was amazing! A charming cabin with a beautiful vaulted ceiling. White fairy lights line the peak of the ceiling. The kitchen is equipped as needed. The bathroom was clean. The shower head is high enough for tall people like me…didn’t have to stoop, lol. There is a fire ring, jacuzzi, and sauna! Plenty of firewood is provided for you. There is a creek running in front of the cabin and could be heard while sitting on the screened in front and back porch and sometimes we could hear it while inside at night. There is a walking bridge over the creek. Plenty of hiking in your back yard. If you want to go somewhere peaceful and beautiful, this is your place! Gary and Sharon Jordan”

“High Top cabin is the perfect place for those looking for a quiet retreat into the forests of NC. It offers a good blend of privacy and amenities (the hottub/sauna was great). There is no shortage of beautiful hikes and views nearby. You will likely see some bugs inside, but it's a rustic cabin in the woods so this is expected. The final driveway up to the cabin is steep washed out gravel - low clearance vehicles will be unhappy, but 4WD is not necessary, at least in the summer months. The WIFI is fast, but does cut out for a few seconds intermittently. This did not significantly affect my ability to work remotely here, but for some people this may be a concern.”

“We enjoyed a lovely long weekend in the mountains. At nighttime, it felt like we were in a fairy forest with all of the beautiful lights. Everything was as described but better. We got to listen to a stream passing right in front of the cabin. We also enjoyed a rainy night - nothing like listening to rain on a metal roof! It was cozy, comfortable, and everything we could have wanted. The shower had great water pressure, which I wouldn’t have expected! Ingles was nearby in Hendersonville and has everything you could need plus. We enjoyed cooking and also some meals out in Hendersonville - if you like German food, you have to check out Haus Heidelberg. It was delicious. We also went up to Arden to get some of our favorite BBQ at 12 bones.”

“Stayed for 2 nights with our boys and enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was clean and had all the basics we needed. Is probably better suited for slightly older kids to sleep in the loft, but our 4 year old enjoyed going up and playing above us. The evenings and mornings were chilly, but we still enjoyed the hot tub and sauna when we could. We will definitely be booking again.”

“We stayed at The Cabin Fever High Top Cabin. It was amazing! I decided to take my wife and kids on a surprise trip getaway to this Cabin. We absolutely loved it. The kids loved the cabin and the property. There is a playground at the base. Hiking trails near by and even a really nice one that starts at our cabin to the top of the mountain that my kids made me climb 8 times lol. Also Lake Summit dam and Bell Park are beautiful trails to walk as a family which is also walking distance from the cabins property. Very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub and Sauna were very nice with the cold weather we had during our stay. We will definitely be staying at the high top Cabin again or even one of the other cabins on the property. Lastly Sage is amazing with responding quickly to any questions you may have along with the maintenance lady was very attentive to any needs we may of had.”

“Beautiful cabin, perfect for a weekend getaway. An SUV or 4WD is helpful to get up to the cabin itself. Even with an SUV, it was a bit of a struggle. The cabin was as described, and we appreciated the hot tub and sauna for our stay. The screened in porch was also a nice addition.”
