“This was a quiet nice get away located close to Huntsville and Chattanooga depending on which way you’re headed. I was surprised that the hot tub is more of an out door bathtub, but it was still nice. There are a number of wasps outside but for the time of the year it’s to be expected. So bring some spray with you. Bed is on the harder side but spacious and close to the air to be as warm or cold as you like.”

“This cabin was a perfect home away from home! It was accurately advertised and well stocked with the essentials. There is a small town nearby that has a wonderful Mexican restaurant, a few fast food places, and a grocery store so we had anything we needed within a few miles. The cabin is private and in such a quiet area. My husband and I wanted to just unplug and relax- this was the place for it! We had a mix up in the reservation (totally my fault) but the host was so accommodating and helped get us fixed up right away. We would absolutely stay again!”

“I stayed here with my wife while on a business trip and we both really enjoyed our stay. The view from the front porch was beautiful. Temps outside were in the 80's but the A/C unit had no problem keeping the place cool and comfortable. Things were a little rough around the edges here and there... but it is a renovated cabin. Overall it was very clean and had plenty of towels, soaps, utensils and other items that made our stay convenient. It was so quiet there and the area was really nice. Easy parking, nice deck in the back - I would highly recommend this for an enjoyable and relaxing vacation.”

“The house was beautiful, relaxing, & clean. They had all the things we needed. The bed was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. I actually googled it & plan on buying one! Everything was enjoyable & thoughtful. To clarify, (bc I was confused by the other reviews & listing) no, the tub in the back deck is not a typical "hot tub", but to us, it was even better. It's big enough for 2 people. It has lights & jets like a hot tub. BUT you can control the water depth & temperature yourself by filling it up with hot or cold. And the hot is boiling hot, so it's great. It was hard to get in & out of, so if you have mobility issues, it might not be for you. It being so hot outside, we didn't try the sauna. Inside was great. The air conditioners kept us comfortable & I slept like a baby. The layout of the house is unique & we absolutely loved it. Furniture is Plus Size Approved. The only con is that the neighboring home is so close, BUT it still felt private. Highly recommend!”

“Quiet getaway off the beaten path. It appears that the owners live on the same lot as the cabin. But, we never saw them. This is great for a couple to get away for a couple of days. Not much to do at the location, but it is very quiet and peaceful. Fort Payne is about 20 minutes away if you need groceries or want to eat out. We have plans to go back next year.”

“Positive: The owner had games and a variety of books to read. The sunsets were beautiful. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. They had supplied the kitchen with spices, coffee and every kind of dishes and cookware. I really enjoyed the sauna. There was also a whirlpool but we didn't want to go to the trouble of filling it. Negative: It was described as having a flower garden but all the flowers were dead. The doors did stick but you could get them open. I didn't like the location because it was in a residential area. I was expecting more of an isolated place in the woods but it was very quiet. The rugs were a tripping hazard .”

Nice area outside to sit and relax while looking at all the animals in the neighboring farms. Had all we needed. The only call out I would have is around the hot tub. Some sections said "hot tub" and when you dig deep in the document it says jetted soaker tub. The tub was not full when we arrive and we let the water run to fill it for almost 4 hours while sitting outside and enjoying a fire...it never got full enough to turn on the jets. Overall this place is great!”

“You're going to ask yourself. Why am I staying in the valley Head area? It is the perfect distance to Mentone, Rising Fawn, The Little River, and even lake guntersville. Your host is providing you with a rustic cabin that is almost brand new. Very clean and has great amenities, all15 minutes from downtown mentone. Our host left great instructions on how to use the sauna and hot tub. They were both clean and well maintained. From what I can tell, the property must have been fully renovated in the last year or two with great care and attention to detail. The host does a great job communicating throughout the stay and I'll be looking forward to checking out more properties that they're involved with as well as staying here again.”

“Positive: The breakfast was good. We went to the store and bought bacon eggs and fixed in their selves. I like the location of view pretty much everything about the place. Negative: The fire pit was too far away from the house. We were told not to bring a grill because there was one on hand. All we had to do was bring charcoal. I brought charcoal, but the grill was a gas grill. I don’t cook steaks on a gas grill. Other than that, I can’t find a thing to complain about. Thoroughly enjoyed it.”
