“Our family came to this home to celebrate, following my son proposing to his girlfriend, now fiancé. The home was the perfect setting. We had space to celebrate with dinner and cake, the young adults enjoyed the views, the hot tub, and the fire pit. The kitchen provided everything we needed and more! The spacious home allowed everyone to get a great night's sleep. Early morning coffee on the expansive deck watching the sunrise was a great way to start our mornings! Sage was an attentive, responsive host! The home was spotlessly clean in every nook and corner. Our guests, who were Furman University students and staff took note of the home and hope to rent it in the future! We can't say enough good things abou the home, and how we were hosted! “We stayed here for my husband's 50th birthday couples trip and it was perfect. It's isolated, high up in the hills and multiple spaces for our group to gather, both inside and outside. With the dual kitchens, it allowed the upstairs to be the main location for eating, but the downstairs, where two other couples stayed had access to food and drinks. The hot tub was used multiple times as was the fire pit. This would have also been great for a family with kids, as the garage is a really cute kids gym and workout area for adults as well. I would stay here again.”

Some family members took advantage of the local bike paths while others took a leisurely ride through Travelers' Rest. Our only complaint? The master bedroom got a little stuffy. “The house is brand new and absolutely beautiful! 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms are very clean and comfortable! It offers wide-open views that sit right above the treetops. The views are stunning. Please note that the balcony is south-facing, so you won’t see the sunrise or sunset directly. The driveway is a bit steep and requires some uphill/downhill driving. Also, it’s best to avoid using multiple showers at the same time to maintain steady water pressure; otherwise, the water flow is sufficient.”

“We booked this house for my wedding at The Pretty Place Chapel. The house was even more gorgeous in person. The furniture and beds were all very comfortable, the house was squeaky clean and the linens smelled AMAZING! The provided toiletries were also amazing and smelled fantastic. Sage was very responsive when booking since I had a lot of questions about the location and proximity to my wedding venue. There was plenty of space for us to all veg out and spend time together. This is one of few places I found with a dining table that comfortably accommodated our 7 guests for family-style dinners. Views from the back decks were great, as was the fire pit. Things were generally clean, but some dusting/cleaning away of cobwebs and spiders would have made for an even better experience. I recommend careful driving near the house - we saw deer and even a bear(!) close by.”

After paying for early check in, the code was not sent at the time of check in so we had to call (received no answer) but Sage did respond about 10 minutes later with the code.”

“We went up with our families and beloved dog and had a wonderful time. The rooms are very spacious and the interior is welcoming. We ate many meals out on the back porch looking out. The pictures of the house do not do it justice. Downstairs is essentially a whole other apartment with a full kitchen. The location is great if you want to be secluded with most places being about a 20 minute drive. Beautiful scenery in the neighborhood. The host was wonderful and very quick to respond. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this location! ”

“For most of our stay only my husband and I were present. This is a huge house but we never felt out of place in all the space. Over the weekend 15 ladies from my church came for a spiritual retreat. My husband escaped back to Columbia the ladies all had appropriate accommodations; no one was crowed or walking all over each other. The house and appointments are very upscale and the views from the deck and veranda are peaceful with humming birds flitting back and forth and deer grazing at the edge of the forest . The main great room kitchen and dining open area made it possible got all 16 to gather together for study and worship. We have a retreat every year and this place was outstanding!”
