“Property was basically just steps from the lake. Quaint 50’s style cottage. Small bedrooms , small living space. Cute but very dated. Was very difficult for my elderly parents to climb up the stairs to enter main living area with no rails to hold on to. Bathroom needed repairs. Notified host and brought to their attention the slipHazard in the tiled showed,and the broken bathroom sink. Overall we had a great time during our stay, but with it not being handicap friendly, I would hope that they modify their description so no one else is disappointed or has issues like we did”

“Nice getaway, designed for outdoor social, not very good for inside social, but we headed out to have good times with a quick game and a couple meals inside. Needs a tv in the small social area, could be on a small table. Could use a deep clean top to bottom but mostly it was clean and safe.”

“Booked this cottage last minute and was pleased with the pricing and location. Cottage has more than enough amenities if needed and situated in a small cottage community between two lakes. Property and grounds were clean and quiet. Across the street, there is a coffee/ice cream shop and bar and grill and a few restaurants in walkable distance. About 25 minutes away from lake Michigan with plenty to do in between. Would definitely recommend”

“Cottage 2 was pretty nice. Some minor maintenance things that need attention (floor coming up, squeaking doors, moldy windows, musty smell) but over all did what we needed it for. Very disappointing to stay in a cottage surrounded by lakes yet nowhere to enjoy the lakes. Public beach was a weedy area approx 6’ long. Other than that nowhere was there a beach to use. We managed to use the kayaks that were available. Lakes were calm and interesting to paddle around, but again all private homes so nowhere to park the kayak and swim. Used the fire pit and dryers were available for our rain soaked clothing. Thank you.”

“This is a nice place. I came here to work on some personal projects and just to get away from other responsibilities for a week. I was there in March when there were not as many outdoor activities available, but that was the point. There's a grocery store under a mile away, and I found a really fascinating cemetery with graves from the 19th century. Overall, it's really a nice place.”

“This was our 2nd year staying at the cabin. We had a few issues with plumbing working properly. It could have been cleaner. However for the price I really can't complain much. It's a nice location, the pier area is nice. We had great weather so we didn't have to stay in much. I'd go back next year. I hope it get the TLC it needs over the winter.Check-in procedure seemed a little harsh. I was 20 minutes early but told I must wait for the code!”

“Cute little cottage in a wonderful location - situated between three inland lakes and walking distance to bars/restaurants and a little ice cream shop. Access to the lake and a little dock is just across the street. Only about 30 minutes to Lake Michigan beaches. There is a Keurig coffee maker with plenty of pods available. They also had bottled water available for use, which was a nice touch (the cottages are on well water). There is laundry available onsite. Unfortunately, they did not have a pack 'n play available for use. We weren't able to bring our own or rent from Babyquip, so we tried to use an inflatable toddler bed (similar to a SlumberTot), but the rooms were too small to fit so we had to share a bed. Note that the cottage did not have a hair dryer available for use either; plan to bring your own if needed . Each of the rooms have fans and there is air conditioning; it's a window unit in the main room (the individual bedrooms do not have their own A/C unit).”

“The place is perfect for the active. Cozy setting for your nightly sleeps. Beds were comfortable. One room has Firm mattress and the other has a soft mattress. TVs are in both bedrooms, however, there is not a TV in the living room. Great stay for the price.”

“Had an issue with the cabin we booked. We stayed in the winter and arrived to the cabin's heat turned off and it freezing inside. It was in the 20s-30s outside so having no heat at arrival was concerning. The small wall heater would've taken all night just to get the cabin warm. As well, the cabin was not very clean, especially since the host charges a non-refundable cleaning fee. We communicated our concerns to the host with text and pictures of all the debris in the cabin and they promptly moved us to a different cabin. The new cabin was spotless and nice and warm.”

“The location had lovely views and a nice layout. Would have enjoyed a warmer setting in the winter months as it was chilly inside. ”

“Everything that you need for a quick little getaway is here at the cabin. Towels and sheets were fresh. A/C was pumping cold air. Beds were decent. Tons of quaint restaurants and an ice cream shop all within walking distance. Since I own a lake cottage, I have a couple of suggestions...bring your own pillows, play toys or floaties for the lake, beach towels and ice. Bikes would be really nice too!”

“When we arrived, the microwave dish and the bottom on the refrigerator were not cleaned, so we cleaned them. My sister-in-law said the springs in the futon mattress were uncomfortable to sleep, poked. Best to put in a regular bed?”
